The Town of Culpeper Public Works Department will be installing a water valve on Tuesday, September 30th. Weather permitting, the work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The valve installation will involve excavating a portion of the roadway to access the existing water main. A safety work zone will require East Piedmont Street to be closed between East Street and Commerce Street. There will be a detour installed to redirect through traffic.

Motorists should expect delays on this corridor and will be required to take alternate routes as available. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to pay attention to changing conditions within the work zone.
