Unidirectional Flushing - Downtown Area

The Town of Culpeper Public Works Department will be performing unidirectional flushing (UDF) of water distribution in the downtown area beginning Monday evening, 7/28/2025 through Wednesday morning, 7/30/2025, weather permitting. Flushing crews will be working overnight from 6:00pm to 8:00am.

A safety workzone will be in place during operations.  Motorists are asked to pay attention to changing roadway conditions and drive slowly around utility work zones.   

Some discoloration of water should be expected, but the condition should be temporary. Should water discoloration be prolonged, please call the Public Works Department at (540) 825-0285.
