WARRENTON, VIRGINIA, June 20, 2025 – Fauquier Health Chief Executive Officer Rebecca Segal, FACHE was named to the Becker’s Hospital Review 2025 Women Hospital CEOs to Know list published this week. Made up of 209 women presidents and CEOs around the country, Becker’s Healthcare stated, “Their vision and leadership are shaping a stronger, more inclusive future for healthcare.”

Segal was recognized for improvements in quality care that have ultimately led to three consecutive “A” hospital safety grades and a designation as a Top General Hospital by Leapfrog, along with work on employee culture that has resulted in a 30% increase in employee engagement scores.

“Fauquier Health has seen some amazing accomplishments under Rebecca’s leadership,” said Joel Barkman, Fauquier Health Board of Trustees Chair. “Our community is fortunate to have a top-quality healthcare system and such a dedicated person to lead it. Becca has transformed Fauquier Health.”

Segal, a native of Virginia, joined Fauquier Health in late 2022 after more than a decade of hospital leadership experience around the country. “Quality is the single most important thing we do,” Segal said. “But it takes everyone on our team being focused on patient safety and quality to achieve our goals. So, every day we all focus on building a culture to support excellence.”

This is not the first time Becker’s Hospital Review has recognized Segal: in 2017 she was named one of the “Rising Stars: 60 Healthcare Leaders Under 40.”
