The Community Assistance Grant is a highly competitive grant open to nonprofits that serve Culpeper, Fauquier, and Rappahannock counties. The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation seeks applications for projects that will have a high level of impact for the community and reflect The Foundation’s values of leadership, stewardship, collaboration, opportunity, community, and responsiveness. Strong applications will address on-going or emergent community needs rather than general operating costs. Award amounts generally range from $5,000 to $25,000.
Most successful funding requests will do one or more of the following:
- sustain successful existing programs;
- expand existing programs in the number/areas served;
- make quality improvements to existing programs;
- start new programs; or
- make purchases for needed equipment, supplies, or training.
We strongly encourage organizations to speak with staff prior to completing the Proposal Summary (formerly a Letter of Inquiry). Please ensure that all contact information for your organization is updated in the Grant Portal; incorrect information can result in a delay in fund disbursement.
Proposal Summary: January 5, 2026-January 19, 2026
